THE MILANION USV
Milanion’s industry leading USV autonomous technologies enable operational cost efficiencies, continual access to remote ocean locations and removal of humans from dangerous and hostile environments.
Today’s naval forces face an ever increasing range of challenges and responsibilities in maritime coastal defence due to innovative, asymmetric naval tactics employed by hostile regimes and nefarious actors, including:
- Maritime Challenges
- Border Patrol
- Counter Narcotics & Piracy
- Naval Mine Counter measures
- Route Surveying
- Search and Rescue
- Fire Fighting
Sea platforms can be installed with Milanion’s Autonomous Operating System, enabling the vessel to perform a variety of missions in accordance with the end-user’s requirements and the capability of the vessel.
The technology is propulsion system agnostic and designed to easily allow Command and Control to successfully support and protect personnel with efficient mission planning and execution.
The mission of the USV’s can be to undertake Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance patrols (ISR) along the border. The USV can be configured to loiter, patrol, report and, if required, to interdict other marine traffic.
Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV)’s are a proven, cost-effective method to add force multipliers to a fleet.
Milanion’s USV solutions provide modular, operationally relevant payloads to fulfil commercial and military maritime mission requirements enabling operational cost efficiencies, continual access to remote ocean locations and removal of humans from dangerous and hostile environments.
Simple to operate, affordable and configured to the end-users requirements; the USV’s world-class technologies allows for superior client service, faster turnaround times, with a trim initial cost structure and additional economies of scale.
USV Autonomous System
Autonomous conversions enable ownership and operation of a USV system without the extra costs of having to purchase a new vessel and parts for compatibility
Milanion’s marine autopilot provides autonomous capabilities to any vessel and also allows for remote control of any sensors such as cameras, radars, sonars, etc, from the Ground Control Station (GCS)
GROUND CONTROL SYSTEM
The Ground Control Station (GCS) can come in different forms depending on operational requirements and existing systems. It can range from a regular laptop to a comprehensive & mobile station.
UNMANNED SURFACE VESSEL
The converted USV is able to follow pre-determined and pre-routed waypoints at the GCS by the operator. A vessel or multiple vessels can be operated simultaneously for a range of missions.
CONVERTING EXISTING FLEET
The Milanion USV suite is agnostic to vessel type, propulsion type, sensors and payloads. This enables the end-user to tailor their requirement to existing inventory and assets which they are already trained to use and are already a part of their logistical and maintenance support regime.
Simply put, Milanion Group are a cost-effective solutions provider to clients who wish to add world-class autonomous capabilities to their existing fleet.
